We can test, repair, and rebuild any size backflow.

Backflow is the flow of water in reverse caused by the reduced water pressure or loss of water pressure from the water supplier. In simpler terms, backflow occurs when water flows away from the building rather than towards a building.

Most home and business owners are unaware that this is even possible. They assume that when they turn on the water tap, water will flow out of that tap. the city provides 60 psi of water pressure., and the water pipes leading into your structure have that amount of water pressure in them. This is one of those things that we take for granted.

What if the city suddenly needs a large volume of water to fight a fire, or if there is a break in the cities water main? When those things happen enormous amounts of water are directed away from your home, meaning you no longer have 60 psi of water pressure in your pipes. When that happens, the water pressure in your pipes does the only natural thing it can do and flows backward. This causes all of the pollutants in your water system caused by toilets with faulty valves, or water from your swimming pool to flow back into the main water system polluting your water.

Every structure has a backflow device. This is a mechanical fixture that prevents water from flowing backward into the main water supply. The state of Texas requires that all backflow devices (preventers) be tested annually as well as during installation and during any repairs  to your water system.

There is such a high number of backflow preventers in the State Of Texas that it is impossible for them to notify individual homeowners and businesses of their need for backflow testing so the responsibility for backflow testing lies squarely in the laps of property owners.

We perform double checks, pressure vacuum breakers, rain/freeze sensors, testing, and repairing fire line backflows. We are here when you need us for all your backflow and fire safety needs.
